Michalis attained his LLB from the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa in 2012, whereafter he served his articles at one of Johannesburg’s top tier business law firms. After being admitted as an Attorney in 2015, Michalis was promoted to the position of Associate where he was involved in a variety matters, including Commercial Litigation, Insolvency Law, Criminal Law, Municipal Law, Labour Law, Alternative Dispute Resolution and Property Law. Michalis also gained drafting and practical experience in High Court Trials, Applications and Urgent Applications.

At the end of 2015 Michalis decided to enroll at the International Hellenic University, Thessaloniki, Greece where he completed his Masters Degree in Transnational and European Commercial Law, Mediation Arbitration and Energy Law. During the course of his studies Michalis gained a keen interest in transnational commercial law and arbitration, specifically litigation financing and third-party funding in investment arbitration. His Masters Dissertation focused on third-Party funding in international investment arbitration, with a specific focus on security for costs.

Michalis joined our team in June 2017 and is actively involved in various international matters, including international arbitrations, commercial contracts and transactions.
