Partner at Ioannis Vassardanis and Partners since November 2013. Eleni Tsakri was previously a Senior Associate at Alexander Vassardanis & Partners (2002-2013).
Eleni has more than twenty years’ experience in Dispute Resolution. She has been part of the team appearing as Counsel in numerous international arbitrations, under the aegis of the ICC, ICSID, LCIA, and the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce, as well as ad hoc (including UNCITRAL) and domestic arbitrations both institutional and ad hoc. She is currently member of the legal team appointed as lead counsel in an ICSID case against the Lebanese Republic, representing an international construction company. Eleni has also extensive experience in proceedings before the Greek courts and represents major clients. She is regularly involved in Civil and Commercial law cases and she has also handled cases in the Construction, Public Procurement and Energy sectors. Eleni has extensive experience both in the private and public cosntruction sector. She has also been involved in numerous cases relating to the construction of power plants including Public Procurement and advises clients all through the procedure of an Invitation to Tender for a Project as well as during its performance and has extensive experience in disputes related to the award of a tender and assists clients before the higher administrative court the Council of State (Symvoulio Epikrateias).

She advises clients un relation to a wide range of issues in the energy, renewable resources and utilities sectors, based on her in-depth experience in the energy regulatory/legislative framework. She has also advising clients in relation to construction contracts, including FIDIC ones. Eleni has been part of the legal team handling major Mergers and Acquisitions and has conducted various complex due diligence reports. She regularly provide advice to foreign/international insurance matters including civil liability in the context of accidents in the construction phase of projects.
